My bachelorette party was awesome. It may join the ranks of our mythic parties, the ones that we still speak of in reverent tones using capital letters: Becky's Parents' Cabin. Kim T's Going-Away-To-Colorado Party. The Night of A Thousand Tequila Shots. And now: Courtney's Bachelorette.

We learned that Shannon H's voice drops six octaves and that she pounds the table like a man when she's drinking. Carrie Beth had so much fun she forgot to call Grand Rapids, or even Florida for that matter. Nadia's tube top, heels, and pegged pants captivated every man from here to Rosebush. Brian launched his career as a stripper despite the threatening gaze of the bouncer. I tried my best to get drunk but danced off all the alcohol; meanwhile, Amber had so much fun combining Benadryl and liquor that she vows to repeat the experience as soon as possible. Some of us stayed up until 6 am while others went to bed early at 4:30. And when the dust cleared, my wonderful friends were there with dishrag and garbage bag in hand, helping me clean up the mess.

Items in the Thomas Street Lost and Found include: one pair of sunglasses, one adorable melon-colored spring jacket, a napkin with a phone number written on it, a tube of toothpaste, and someone's virginity. (Not really. I just thought that would be fun to type.)

Thanks to Kim for organizing such a fun, friendship-affirming, soon-to-be-legendary celebration.

oh by the way, the best part was when we were driving home from the wagon, and amber and i were telling stories about angel. amber mentioned something about angel sleeping with this dude, and his uhh member (or "girth" as amber and i called it) slipping out, and brian says, and i quote:

"ugh! i dont want to hear about some dude's girth falling out of some bitch i dont know!!!"
it was so funny!!!
